The European Commission has sent TikTok its preliminary findings, which state that accounts held by minors on TikTok do not comply with the safety standards of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
TBYP has also raised the issue of the incorrect settings on minors’ profiles in its summons against TikTok and demanded that TikTok configure the settings on its app in such a way that minors can use the platform safely.
The European Commission’s findings confirm that changes to the app are still necessary.
