What's going on?
Companies and the governmental authorities collect lots of information. This information is collected on an ongoing basis, such as what websites you visit, where you are, when you are there, who you are with, what you buy, and so on. This can include very sensitive information, such as information about your health, religion, or sexual orientation. Rapid technological developments increase the processing of personal data. Today, certain “smart” products can listen in, and there are programs that scan your face. Many people do not want to share this information. They want to decide for themselves what is private and what is not. That is why there are European and Dutch privacy laws.
The Take Back Your Privacy Foundation wants companies and governmental authorities to comply with the privacy and consumer regulations. If they do not, they must be held accountable. We stand up for your rights.
